Ten “Can” Days
October 22 – November 2, 2007

CA families who wish to support the Ten “Can” Food Drive should bring or send in non-perishable food items with their children. Grocery carts (courtesy of Gahanna Meijer) will be positioned at carpool drop offs and school entrances so that students don’t have to tote heavy items. The goal is to provide:

7 dinners, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches for each of the 35 or so sponsored families

When shopping, best to check expiration dates. Favorite items to add to shopping lists this week:

Breakfast: pancake mix, cereal (all kinds), breakfast bars, muffin mix, quick break mix, oatmeal (regular and flavored)


Lunch and Dinner: peanut butter, jelly, crackers, boxed mac and cheese, soups, stews, canned fruit(incl. fruit cups), canned vegetables (all varieties), pasta, spaghetti sauce, beans, chili, rice, baking supplies,stuffing mix, canned tuna (also chicken, ham, salmon), jello/pudding mixes, pudding cups, ketchup, mustard, salad dressings, baby food.
